At Trutiya Ratna, we believe that access to knowledge is a fundamental right. In many marginalised communities across Bihar, children and youth have limited access to books, learning resources, and safe spaces for intellectual growth. To address this gap, we have established community knowledge centres that serve as inclusive learning hubs for children, youth, and community members.
Our centres provide access to children’s literature, school textbooks, anti-caste literature, science and mathematics resources, competitive examination materials, and creative learning tools. Beyond books, these spaces foster curiosity, critical thinking, and collective learning through reading circles, discussions, educational activities, and community engagement.
Inspired by the legacies of Savitribai Phule, Dr B.R. Ambedkar, Fatima Sheikh, and other social reformers, our centres promote reading as a tool for empowerment and social transformation. They are designed not only to improve educational outcomes but also to nurture confidence, dignity, and critical consciousness among first-generation learners from historically marginalised communities.
Currently, Trutiya Ratna operates community knowledge centres across four districts of Bihar, creating safe and accessible spaces where learning, dialogue, and social change can flourish.
